Boarding Services

We have over 15 years' of experience in providing our wide variety of plaster board services.

Plaster Boarding is a method using plasterboards instead of wet plaster applied straight onto walls. We fix plasterboard to masonry or stone walls. The dot and dab method fixes the boards to the wall and then they are skimmed over.

Plasterboard is a preformed sheet of plaster held together between two sheets of heavy paper. This plaster is made of the same material as the plaster used on traditional plaster walls and ceilings, already dry and ready to go. It’s perfect for covering your ceiling. It reduces the fuss of traditional plaster and gives you a quicker option.

Depending on your project we can make the decision whether plaster-boarding or traditional plastering is going to be most effective.

FAQs on Boarding

How long does boarding take?

Depending on the project, boarding can take different amounts of time. In general, it is a much faster process than traditional plastering since the boards are preformed and ready to go.

Can you plasterboard any wall or ceiling?

Et anim velit veniam id sit exercitation cillum cupidatat est dolor aute cupidatat voluptate. Quis ex occaecat ipsum ipsum ut deserunt. Laboris occaecat proident ipsum magna minim ut.

Do I need to remove furniture?

Anything that can be done prior to us arriving at your property stands to make the process that much quicker. Which is why we greatly appreciate a clear working space when we arrive.

How long does it take for plaster to dry?

Plasterboard is preformed, which means that only the layers holding the boards together need to dry, reducing overall drying times, compared to regular plastering. The boards are then skimmed, which is a thin layer of plaster that will take significantly less time to dry.
